Top 10 Things To Do with Kids in Long Beach

Bringing your family along to the Forum? There is plenty to do with the kids while staying in Long Beach. We have compiled the Top Ten Things to Do With Kids

1. Bond with the sea creatures at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is the fourth most-attended aquarium in the nation. It displays about 12,000 animals and more than 100 exhibits that celebrate the planet’s largest and most diverse body of water, the Pacific Ocean.

2. Tour the Queen Mary (Older kids may enjoy the Haunted Encounter tour.)
Whether it’s for a few drinks at her legendary bar, a walk on her starboard side at twilight, an incomparable morning at her Sunday brunch or a stay in a stateroom that holds more memories than we could ever tell, there is one thing that is certain, the Queen Mary calls to everyone, including you.

3. Take a Gondola ride around Naples Island.
The Gondola Getaway was founded back in 1982 under the concept of bringing the old world charm of the “Gondola” back into the canals of Naples Islands. Gondolas were first introduced into the area back in 1903 when the Islands were developed into a Venetian style neighborhood replete with grand canals and romantic bridges.

4. Rent pedal boats in Rainbow Lagoon.
The Rainbow Lagoon location offers Pedal Boat Rentals, Gondola Service and Private Parties.
Located directly in front of the Hyatt Hotel - S Pine Ave. at E Shoreline Dr.

5. Try a unique mode of transportation by renting a hydrobike (day or evening glow bikes).
Experience riding a bicycle mounted on floats! Alamitos Bay is often described as the best kept secret between LA and OC. You'll bike through the bay during daytime hours as you soak up the sun and the views. Or you can Glow as you glide through Alamitos Bay at night. We light up the Hydrobikes with the brightest LEDs for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Since 1951, exhibitions presented by the Museum have been varied with shows ranging from individual artists to specific types of art. Some of the notable highlights include: The Artful Teapot: 20th Century Expressions from the Kamm Collection; Architecture for Dogs; Frank E. Cummings III: Jeweled Harmony in Wood; Masterworks: Defining a New Narrative; and Vitality And Verve: Transforming The Urban Landscape.

7. Go to the beach!
Long Beach City Beach provides views of the snowy San Gabriel Mountains as well as the mega-mansions of Naples Island. Take a chartered boat from Belmont Pier or head to the popular sandy beaches of Alamitos Bay. Mothers Beach is a winning force with families in search of some outdoor fun.

8. Rent kayaks
Along with the pedal boats in Rainbow Lagoon, families can also rent kayaks for a day on the water.

9. See a 4D Movie.
Buckle up and get ready for, a more unique side of the ship in the Queen Mary 4-D Theater. Feel the rock and bump of every action scene, feel the rush of the wind or the splash of the living ocean as the Queen Mary is proud to present two exciting movie options.

10. Watch the whales.
For almost two decades, Harbor Breeze Cruises has provided top of the line long beach whale watching excursions to individuals and families from across the globe. They are the top destination for whale watching in Long Beach, bringing stunning sea life up close and personal to spectators on our fleet of safe and comfortable boats.
