These resources are made available to any family doctors who wish to improve the care of patients with depression and mental health. They were produced as part of an ongoing project in the WONCA Asia Pacific Region.
Our master faculty would also love your feedback on the materials.
Please send questions, comments or examples of how you used the materials to CAFP at cafp@familydocs.org.
Improving Our Care slides: This slide deck is the basis of our curriculum. It includes the complete workshop content from screening to management, from pharmacological treatment to behavioral modification.
Reflective Practice Discussion: We (and our patients) are moving from precontemplation, to contemplation, to planning, to action to maintenance. It is important to know that we are not going to learn everything in one workshop session. We need to deliberately practice what we have learned and work out how it will best fit with our own consulting style and with our own patients.
Treatment slides: In this activity, the master faculty reviews the pharmacological treatment for depression and anxiety.
Suicide Risk Assessment slides: Our master faculty addresses the issues of suicide risk assessment in this activity.
This initiative is supported by an educational grant to the CAFP from Pfizer Global Medical.
