I’d love to share information with you about an epidemiologist, Katelyn Jetelina, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor with the Department of Epidemiology, Human Genetics and Environmental Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health and her fantastic blog: YLE -Your Local Epidemiologist. It is free (although there are options for paid access to more content) and she does this on her own time. I’ve found it to provide great information about COVID, vaccines, and more, in a manner that is really informative. She posts a few times a week, and the latest post from Monday includes great data on cases around the world and information on the latest variants, flu activity data, the fact that Florida, once the leader in COVID cases and deaths, now has the lowest case rate in the country (8 cases per 100k), and creative vaccine marketing efforts by the Salt Lake County Health Department – listing vaccination rates by zodiac signs!
"Meanwhile, the Salt Lake County Health Department seems to need more things to do. They organized vaccine rate by zodiac sign. (Come on, Scorpio!) If anyone can figure out the cofounder(s) here let me know. This has been bugging me all weekend.
