High volume training in Family Medicine-driven OB with moderately high risk patients
Weekly half-day of didactics with case-based learning, procedural simulation and lectures
Integrative medicine training for all residents and 1 year fellowship available
Full-spectrum reproductive health training with aspiration, medication abortion, LARCs
Outpatient continuity clinic in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Culturally Responsive Medicine Curriculum
Advocacy training in resolution writing, op-eds, legislative advocacy skills
Longitudinal community partnerships with Roseland Elementary School and Bayer Community Garden
Mentorship Program for mentorship of high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds
Longitudinal leadership opportunities for all residents
Training in Addiction including Suboxone training, experience in Suboxone clinic and support for pregnant and new mothers with addiction
Program-wide efforts to transform learning environment through Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Advocacy work.

Faculty Composition:

The cultural, racial, socioeconomic, and gender diversity of our faculty have evolved over time from predominantly Caucasian and male to a more balanced cross-section. However, our core faculty does not yet fully reflect the diverse population we serve. To most optimally align with our patients’ needs. We recognize that this must change and are actively working toward diversifying our faculty.
As the diversity as our residents increases, we are leveraging the diversity of their insight in order to inform the cultivation of an environment where our residents can thrive, see themselves as future faculty, and contribute to recruitment efforts of diverse faculty from around the country.
