Program Highlights and/or Unique Curriculum Components (i.e. Fellowship Opportunities):
Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium (LLUHEC) Family Medicine Residency Program provides a unique opportunity to train in an academic, university setting with a federally qualified health center (FQHC) residency continuity clinic.

Loma Linda University Health is a Christian, faith-based institution where spirituality is incorporated in healthcare and service is important. You’ll serve patients in San Bernardino County, one of the most medically underserved areas (MUA) in the country.

We pride ourselves on whole person, team-based care.

Faculty Composition:
We have 10 core teaching faculty within a larger faculty group (50+).
8 women, 2 men
6 MD's, 1 DO, 3 PhD's
4 URM's
Areas of specialization: sports medicine, advocacy, research, HIV, global health, procedures, geriatrics, behavioral medicine, motivational interviewing, lifestyle medicine
Spouse/Family Opportunities:
Approximately half of our residents are married and we welcome kids and families! We are very successful in connecting spouses with jobs and opportunities in our local region. Within the Loma Linda University GME system, we have spousal support groups and an incredibly strong public and private school system including a local daycare which many residents and faculty use.
Fun Facts:
Our residents speak over 13 different languages.

We have over 20 different wellness opportunities integrated into our curriculum.

Loma Linda is one of five "blue zones" and the only one in the United States where people live much longer on average. LLUH promotes health, longevity, and wholeness!

We have two wellness chief residents who are responsible for promoting wellness and caring for our residents.

Residents and their families have free access to our recreation facility on campus.
