CAFP has a seat on the Noridian Carrier Advisory Committee, but our current representative will be stepping down so we would like to identify another family physician to serve on this committee. If you are interested, please email your CV to Catrina Reyes at creyes@familydocs.org to present to the CAFP Executive Committee for a decision. Below is more information on the Committee.
Charge: The advisory committee focuses on three main things -
1. What should Medicare pay for as far as treatment and diagnosis
2. Medicare fraud and abuse
3. Medicare administrative regulations|
Time Commitment: Generally a one-day (10-2pm-ish) virtual or in-person meeting near LAX or SFO three times a year. Additional time commitment includes reviewing materials. The next meeting will be in October.
Expenses: CAFP will reimburse for travel expenses. No per diem is offered.
