Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) is reaching out to inform Medi-Cal Managed Care providers that they may be eligible for additional reimbursement as a result of funds directed to the Department of Health Care Services by The California Healthcare, Research and Prevention Tobacco Tax (Proposition 56). Anthem has produced a Provider Bulletin reminding capitated providers to submit all of their encounters to their respective Participating Medical Groups, as Anthem is reimbursing based on claims and encounters. The Bulletin also contains frequently asked questions about eligibility, processing, and receipt of supplemental payment. The following CPT codes are eligible for the supplemental payment.
