In accordance with CAFP bylaws, each fall the CAFP Board Governance Committee is tasked with identifying and nominating potential Board and Governance Committee candidates, for election by the delegates to the All Member Advocacy Meeting (AMAM). We are currently accepting nominations for the following openings in 2024.
New Physician Director (NPD) - Three year term (2024-2027), which begins immediately following the AMAM (April 13-14, 2024). Interested candidates must be in practice fewer than seven (7) years at the time of election and shall be elected for one three-year term only. In addition to serving on the CAFP Board, the NPD is a standing member of CAFP’s Member Engagement Committee. As with all Board candidates, in considering a candidate, the committee may seek the views of chapter officers within the districts, consider previous offices held, service and performance on Academy committees, and potential for higher offices.
Governance Committee Members (2 open positions) - Two year term (2024-2026), which begins immediately following AMAM (April 13-14, 2024). Please review the committee overview for a description of this work, and indicate your committee interest no later than October 1.
Please email CAFP Governance Manager Morgan Cleveland no later than October 1st to express interest, nominate a candidate, or for additional information. An overview of the Governance Committee Charter can be found here.
