Call for Nominees to the CAFP Board of Directors

In accordance with CAFP bylaws, each fall the CAFP Board Governance Committee is tasked with identifying and nominating potential Board and Governance Committee candidates, for election by the delegates to the All Member Advocacy Meeting (AMAM). We are currently accepting nominations for the following openings in 2025. Please email CAFP Governance Manager Morgan Cleveland (mcleveland@familydocs.org) by October 9th to express interest, nominate a candidate, or for additional information. An overview of the Governance Committee Charter can be found here.

Rural Director - Three year term (2025-2028), which begins immediately following the AMAM (March 15-17, 2025). Interested candidates shall be a representative of a rural area of the state, and may serve up to two three-year terms. CAFPs current interim Rural Director, Dr. Amanda Mooneyham, was appointed by the Board mid-year when the former Director moved out of state. Dr. Mooneyham has indicated an interest in continuing to serve, and as per our processes, will apply to the position. Additional candidates may apply. As with all Board candidates, in considering a candidate, the committee may seek the views of chapter officers within the districts, consider previous offices held, service and performance on Academy committees, and potential for higher offices.

Governance Committee Members (1 open position) - Two year term (2025-2027), which begins immediately following AMAM (March 15-17, 2025). Please review the committee overview for a description of this work, and indicate your committee interest no later than October 9th.
