Today, CAFP recognizes World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. The 2023 "theme" of World AIDS Day is Equalize and we hope you take a moment today to think about how we can all do better to address inequities in our work. One way is to access the World AIDS Day website HERE and review the many tools, resources and opportunities to become more informed.
CAFP has been fortunate to partner with NIDA and as the country grapples with the dual epidemics of HIV and drug overdose, we are working with them to end stigma and discrimination and to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV and also OUD/SUD. Please take a moment to check out the powerful and practical quick videos in NIDA's At the Intersection: HIV & Substance Use Research. You will be glad you did!
