On behalf of the staff and Board of Directors of CAFP, we are saddened by the destruction of the fires in Los Angeles and are heartbroken for the communities destroyed, lives shattered, and the injury and death these fires have caused.
The AAFP Foundation is working with their disaster response partners to assess impact and provide essential relief supplies to affected communities, including local FQHCs and county facilities. CAFP has offered to help in any way we can. We want to make sure you are aware of a resource that may be helpful now or in the future. After the fires in Northern California several years ago, the CAFP North Bay Chapter leaders created the "Disaster Crash Cart" a resource designed to offer quick, easily accessible solutions for those providing basic healthcare in disaster shelters.
