CAFP is thrilled to unveil its newly revamped Policy Compendium!
CAFP’s Policy Compendium is the official record of our policy positions. It captures our core priorities, values, and standing on the big issues impacting family medicine across California.
Finding CAFP policy just got much easier. Over the summer, CAFP welcomed Jolynn Doan, an intern from Health Career Connections. Jolynn helped research best practices for displaying policy at other medical societies, identified tools to improve searchability, and organized our policies into clear categories.
We streamlined the layout with a new numbering system, intuitive category groupings, and searchable topic tags so you can quickly find what you need. Policies are now organized across seven core areas:Health System Reform; Medical Practice Affairs; Workforce; Education; Ethics; Gender, Sexual & Reproductive Health; Public Health; and a separate document for CAFP internal policy.
As family physicians, our priorities span a range of issues in medicine and public health. This upgraded resource brings all your shared advocacy priorities together in one convenient place.
Notice a key issue missing? CAFP policy is driven by you! The Resolution Submission Form is now open. Submit your resolutions by December 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST for consideration at the 2027 All Member Advocacy Meeting. Check out our Resolution Submission Guide to get started and lead the conversation for family medicine!
