Committee Applications
Interested in serving on a CAFP committee, or know someone whom we should consider? Please consider completing an application and help us spread the word broadly. Committee participation is a great way to deepen your learning, have an impact on CAFP practice and policy, and develop your network and leadership acumen. Committee applications will be accepted through January 31, 2025 for openings with terms beginning in the spring or early summer. Many committees include positions for students and residents.

Statement on Equity: CAFP is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion and striving for health equity. As such, committees shall represent a broad demographic of members. Specifically, to the extent possible, committee representation should include representatives from multiple practice settings and include a diverse and representative cross section of demographics and member constituencies including but not limited to; New Physician, LGBTQ+, IMG, Women, Minority and generally representative of CAFP membership (gender, age, urbanization code, etc.).
National Conference of Constituency Leaders
CAFP will once again send a full delegation to NCCL, consisting of one Delegate and one Alternate from each of the five member constituencies (Women, BIPOC, New Physicians, International Medical Graduates, and LGBTQ+ physicians or physician allies) to represent our state. New in 2025, CAFP will increase our delegation to 12, by adding two extra leadership development positions for individuals who have been historically underrepresented in medicine, particularly Latinx.
The application process for Delegates and Alternates will be executed at the same time as committee applications this year. Applicants should complete the same Member Engagement Form to apply, and submit their application by January 31, 2025. NCCL Delegates and Alternates will be selected and notified in early February, to ensure sufficient time to plan for attending NCCL April 24-26, 2025 in Kansas City. Before applying, please make sure you would be available to attend for the entire conference dates if selected. NCCL is open to Active (post residency) members. Up to 1 Resident member may be selected to serve as an Alternate Delegate. Additional questions can be directed to mcleveland@familydocs.org.
