For the fifth time in six years, CAFP has won the AAFP Leadership in State Government Advocacy Award. Thank you to the CAFP Government Relations team and all the CAFP members whose grassroots efforts helped advance our goal of to improve public health through increased childhood vaccination rates (SB 276), and bringing primary care and family medicine to the apex of our health care system. The Advocacy Award recognizes outstanding chapter contributions to further family medicine through legislative accomplishments and initiatives, or the support of public policy efforts. CAFP CEO Lisa Folberg and President Walt Mills, MD accepted the award at the 2019 AAFP Congress of Delegates this week.
