After a week of deliberation and collecting as much information as we were able, we made the difficult decision this evening to cancel AMAM. We had hoped and explored many options, but eventually concluded that out of an abundance of caution for the health and welfare of our members and their patients, cancelling was the only feasible option. In the true spirit of family medicine, we know many of you wanted to be available to your communities during these uncertain times.
As you know, at the AMAM, delegates elect officers and approve by-laws changes. In order to ensure this important business is conducted, we will hold a short virtual convening of the AMAM delegates at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14th. Delegates must attend as we need a quorum of delegates to elect new officers and approve by-laws. Other attendees are welcome to attend, however, the virtual proceeding will be limited to elections and by-laws approval. If you are a delegate and need the call-in information, please contact us.
