California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) is the largest primary care medical society in California. It is the only organization solely dedicated to advancing the specialty of family medicine in the state. CAFP demonstrates a commitment to the specialty and to your patients. More than 10,000 California family physicians, residents, and students are members of CAFP because they understand the important and valuable role this organization plays.

As a member, you are automatically placed into a local chapter based on your location in California. Local chapters help the Academy identify member needs, educate the public and advance the specialty of family medicine. As a member of AAFP and CAFP, you will automatically be a member of your local chapter. Each chapter hosts its own meetings and events.
