This October and November, CAFP is partnering with CVEEP (Champions for Vaccine Education, Equity + Progress) on an education campaign for adults 50 and older. The message is simple and easy to repeat in an exam room: you can't control everything, but vaccination can help you take more control of your health.
Older adults face a higher risk of severe illness from respiratory infections, and the campaign covers the vaccines recommended for them, including RSV, pneumococcal disease, COVID-19, flu, and shingles. Everything is available in English and Spanish, which matters for the many California patients who are more comfortable reading about their health in Spanish.
Print the campaign poster for your waiting room or exam rooms. Point patients to CVEEP's vaccine locator so they can find a nearby pharmacy, community health center, or local health department. And if a patient asks where to learn more, send them to the campaign page.
