Program Highlights and/or Unique Curriculum Components:

Our residency program is community-based, affiliated with the University of California at Davis, and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program has a 40-plus-year history of providing excellent health care and outstanding clinical education in all aspects of Family Medicine in California's central valley.

Our hospital has been training residents in the field of family medicine since 1972, at the inception of the specialty. Modern additions to the hospital have made it a contemporary state of the art facility.

Our vision is to be a Family Medicine residency of choice with cutting edge and innovative educational and leadership training for the Family Medicine physician, that is coupled with the highest quality patient-centered care provided to the underserved communities of San Joaquin County.

Faculty Composition:

We have a diverse group of faculty with a passion for teaching. Ours core faculty is made up of 45% of alumni that have graduated from our program. We are very grateful to have them stay and practice with our community and coach our cohort of residents.
