Program Highlights and/or Unique Curriculum Components:
Nestled in the Inland Empire between Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County, the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Family Medicine Residency has been serving its community since 1997. We cultivate full-spectrum FM physicians who receive robust training in outpatient and inpatient medicine, in addition to community medicine, geriatrics/palliative care, obstetrics, women’s health, and sports medicine. For those who want even more opportunities in specific areas, we offer track experiences which can be helpful in preparation for fellowships. We seek to create a family environment where the faculty have an open door, and are available to provide mentorship and support. We recognize that the rigor of residency warrants resources and provide time for a PGY1 and PGY2/PGY3 support groups, regular Flex time to be used as time for admin or personal/medical appointments and team building events to promote camaraderie.
