At PIH Health Whittier Hospital Family Medicine Residency, we believe that the primary care physician sets the stage for the patient experience in our healthcare system. We want said experience to be one of respect and protected vulnerability. We want to provide effective, comprehensive care with sustainable efficiency to a widely diverse population.
Want a highly procedural-based outpatient practice or a hospitalist career? Want to serve Spanish-speaking populations of SoCal or remote populations of the globe? Want to better treat elderly patients or better navigate capitated models of care? you will find our program to be an excellent fit.
Fun Facts:
We are one of the oldest accredited family medicine training programs in California, established in 1979! Some of our faculty are from the first 5 graduating classes of the program. We have persons born in the hospital, and we have persons hailing from all corners of the world. As a group, we love sports and music, food and boba. We’re quirky, a little boisterous, and full of entertainment.
