Program Highlights and/or Unique Curriculum Components:
Eisenhower Health is a community-focused not-for-profit healthcare system that serves the great diversity of the Coachella Valley, which stretches from cosmopolitan Palm Springs in the west to the historic Salton Sea in the east. Residents enjoy training opportunities throughout the valley, spending time in our partner FQHCs, at the Volunteers in Medicine free clinic, and with our Street Medicine team. Other community partners include Indio High School, Planned Parenthood, and the Transgender Health and Wellness Center.

We offer ACGME-accredited fellowships in Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, and Sports Medicine.

We have received Osteopathic Recognition from the ACGME and offer this focused training pathway to both DO and MD residents.

Faculty Composition:

Our program faculty love to teach, and core faculty work with residents in the outpatient clinics, on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service (caring for adult and pediatric patients), and on labor and delivery. Core faculty have sub-specialty training and focused practices in addiction medicine, integrative medicine, functional medicine, geriatrics, HIV, LGBTQ health, maternity care, hospital medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Spouse/Family Opportunities:

The Coachella Valley is a family-friendly community with activities taking place all year! We have a zoo, a children's museum, an observatory, a water park, and an aerial tramway that takes you 8,500 feet up to the top of Mt. San Jacinto. Joshua Tree National Park is nearby, as is the historic Salton Sea, and hiking and other outdoor activities abound. Golf, tennis, swimming, cycling, and running fans will have no shortage of fun in the desert.
