Off-Season Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infections

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released a health advisory for: Off-Season Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infections and Use of Palivizumab

Off-season respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections are increasing in California this summer. The CDPH recommends testing for additional respiratory pathogens besides SARS-CoV-2, including RSV. Additionally they encourage parents and caregivers to keep young children with acute respiratory illnesses out of childcare.
