The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has announced that it is making a digital vaccine card available to Californians. There is no California requirement to carry the digital vaccination record and it is largely up to businesses if they ask patrons for proof of vaccine. Vaccine information (not just for COVID-19) is already recorded in the state’s immunization registry. According to CDPH, the digital record is simply a free tool allowing access to your COVID vaccine information for those who wish to use it.
