CAFP Leadership Opportunities

Interested in serving as an Officer on the CAFP Board of Directors or At Large Member of the Governance Committee? Know a member who would be a great candidate for either role?

This fall, the CAFP Governance Committee will vet candidates for positions that the Delegates to the All Member Advocacy Meeting (AMAM) and CAFP Board will elect.

Candidates to be elected by the AMAM Delegates:

• President-elect
• Speaker
• Vice Speaker
• AAFP Delegate
• New Physician Director
• At Large Governance Committee Member

Candidates to be elected/appointed by the CAFP Board:

• Secretary-Treasurer
• Board Governance Committee Member
• Magazine Editor

To be considered, all completed applications must be received by October 5th, 2026.

Eligibility considerations:

• All Board Officer positions require current or prior CAFP Board experience.
• The New Physician (Early Career Physician) Director position must be in the first 7 years of practice at the time they are elected, with at least 2 years as a CAFP member.
• At-Large Governance Committee members must have an interest in and commitment to understanding non-profit governance guidelines and best practices for Board development. Committee members must also have a commitment to accountability and the long-term stability of the CAFP. To be eligible, members may not be considering running for any CAFP office during their tenure on the Governance Committee.
