The national public health emergency for the COVID-19 pandemic expired in May 2023. As we transition to living with COVID-19, we can’t forget the responses needed by our communities, our clinics and health care staff working together to keep us healthy. Our Building Community Capacity project provides clinics and community organizations in underserved areas the opportunity to reflect and consider what we have learned then record our lessons so that we are all better equipped for the next pandemic. Together with six clinics and community organizations, we’ll share these reflections with the California Department of Public Health and the Californians for Healthy Physicians. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and share with these dedicated community organizations. Check back for these stories and best practices.
