Evidence First: CAFP Responds to CDC’s Misleading Vaccine Claim

California’s family physicians are alarmed by the CDC’s website claiming a link between vaccines and autism. Decades of rigorous research have firmly established that Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism. The CDC's claims are false, without scientific merit, and pose a serious threat to public health. Patients need access to reliable and accurate health information that is based on evidence. Family physicians know that this kind of harmful and inaccurate messaging can lead to serious public health consequences. CAFP stands with the broader medical and scientific community in our unequivocal support for credible, scientific and evidence-based recommendations for safe and effective vaccines. AAFP continues to maintain evidence-based immunization schedules and recommendations for children and adults on its website here.
