Have you heard about all the incredible programs your generously donated dues go towards? A portion of your local chapter dues supports the incredible work of the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (CAFP-F) and helps to bring dynamic programs to life. CAFP-F initiatives provide mentorship and education which target lifelong learners, from high school students with a dream of becoming a doctor to seasoned family physicians. Thank you for your tremendous support!
Investing in family medicine’s future means providing opportunities for students and family medicine residents to attend important family medicine events, including the All Members Advocacy Meeting (AMAM) and the AAFP National Conference.
Building a strong primary care workforce is possible when we support leaders dedicated to transforming their communities through mentorship programs and organized networks, including Future Faces of Family Medicine, Emerging Health Advocates and Family Medicine Interest Groups.
Empowering students and residents to conduct and present clinical and educational research allows them to meet critical academic requirements through the Student Research Grant Program and the Resident Poster Contest.
Training the next generation of healthcare leaders ensures a capable and diverse workforce and is accomplished through activities including Procedures Workshops, the Family Medicine Summit and the Primary Care Residency Collaborative.
CAFP-F represents more than 3,000 student and resident members and serves as a resource hub for 13 medical schools and 65 family medicine residency programs. We are so excited to highlight our initiatives that have supported medical students and residents in their journey to become family physician leaders.
