Health Equity

#CAFPHealthEquity

August is CAFP’s Health Equity Month. During this time, we’ll explore the many facets of how organizations and individuals change the face of health equity in California. We will provide resources, conversations, and share stories of the battle for equitable health access and outcomes. Join us on social media with #cafphealthequity and on our members-only Spark forum. Check back here for more resources!

What is Health Equity?: Equity is the absence of avoidable, unfair, or remediable differences among groups of people, whether those groups are defined socially, economically, demographically or geographically or by other means of stratification. "Health equity” or “equity in health” implies that ideally everyone should have a fair opportunity to attain their full health potential and that no one should be disadvantaged from achieving this potential.
