CAFP's 2012 Family Medicine Summit


The 2012 CAFP Family Medicine Summit will take place on Saturday, September 15th in Los Angeles, CA.  Please stay tuned for more information regarding registration and content.

 

The 2011 Family Medicine Summit featured more than 175 family medicine students, residents and faculty.  Attendees discussed compelling issues in family medicine education and training, the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and the Added Value of Family Medicine. They attended clinical workshops and social media and advocacy sessions as well. Learn more about this year’s sessions here.

CAFP, along with community partner Kaiser Permanente and the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, hosts this event to create a unique learning environment consisting of California’s family medicine residency program directors, family medicine department chairs, chief residents, student representatives and thought leaders in family medicine.

The meeting highlighted innovations in family medicine education such as the PCMH, the development of future leaders in family medicine and advocacy for the future of family medicine.

Eisenhower FM Residency News!

We are delighted and honored to share our good news about the successful accreditation of the Eisenhower Family Medicine Residency program!  We were awarded a 3 year cycle - the maximum that a new program can receive.  This speaks volumes for the support and attention we have enjoyed from the beginning at EMC and into the future!

We have received email confirmation of provisional accreditation for our proposed Internal Medicine Residency program and anticipate good news later this week regarding Family Medicine as the RC-FM finishes its meetings today!
