Motivational Interviewing Smoking Cessation CME in Second Life
Release Your Inner Avatar
Virtual worlds are rapidly becoming a integral part of the educational landscape with tremendous potential for rich and effective online learning experiences. Second Life (SL), one of the best known of these virtual worlds, is an immersive, 3D environment. Visitors enter SL as an avatar by way of a free software application, called the SL viewer. This is an ideal venue for continuing medical education training - an opportunity to meet, interact, and learn with colleagues, all from the comfort of your own living room.
This CME program consists of three Motivational Interviewing workshops, applied to smoking cessation, in a virtual world environment. Through the workshops, you will have an in-depth exposure to Motivational Interviewing with extensive practice and role-playing in the virtual world of Second Life. You will earn AMA PRA Category 1 TM or AAFP Prescribed credits. There is no charge for participation.
