CAFP's annual conference for medical educators is set for September 17. This year we will provide an in-depth training to help family medicine residency programs respond to downsizing or closure threats.

Meeting Objectives:

  • Access data and data sources to understand the relationships that strengthen your residency program within your sponsoring institution;
  • Develop an understanding of how best to present data to various stakeholders to reflect and enhance the value of the residency program;
  • Deflect potential threats to your residency program; and
  • Understand key terms, legal, reimbursement, educational and business issues that have an impact on program downsizing or closures.

Expert faculty, including Perry Pugno, MD, from AAFP, Scott Christman, from the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, and Kiki Nocella, PhD, will provide detailed information on calculating the financial value of your program, cost reports and more. The conference will be held at The California Endowment in Los Angeles.
