Health Information Technology

Physician offices have an opportunity under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 to obtain financial support for adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) and CAFP has put together the tools and resources to help you do so. Federal incentive payments will be available to providers when they adopt EHRs and demonstrate "meaningful use." Click here for Five Things to Do Now and Basic Facts about the Incentive Programs and get ready to implement an EHR.

CAFP has developed FREE CME courses to help family physicians understand the Meaningful Use requirements and employ an EHR system in a way that satisfies the requirements. CAFP will also be hosting a three-part webinar series to provide members with important information on achieving meaningful use.
